Composites FAQ (Bumpers, Hoods, Fenders, etc)
1. Shipping for Composites
Most of our composite products are bulky and require large boxes to secure them during shipping. These boxes are usually oversized and can't ship thru normal UPS or Fedex shipping methods. We have to use Freight Shipping for most of these products. Due to the many freight options out there, we prefer to individually search the best and cheapest option to your delivery address.
Each order online will not include the shipping cost. Your purchase online will only initially pay for the product. The shipping cost will then be sent to you by emailed invoice separately once we check all the freight options within the next business day.
If you want to request a shipping quote, feel free to message or email us at ffmotionusa@gmail.com The freight quote is valid for 7 days. It should provide you a close estimate for future shipping costs.
Most bumper / front end freight costs are between $250-375. We ship from Nevada so the latter price range will be for locations on the east coast.
We only schedule freight shipping once a week so please give a few days for freight packages to process.
2. Fiberglass Install instructions
Important Note: Before proceeding with the installation of fiberglass automotive parts, please carefully read and understand these instructions and disclaimers. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in damage to your vehicle, personal injury, or non-compliance with local regulations.
Installation Instructions:
- 1. Safety First: Ensure that you are working in a safe and well-ventilated area. Wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection and gloves, to prevent injury.
- 2. Pre-Installation Inspection: Inspect the fiberglass parts for any visible defects, such as cracks, chips, or imperfections. Make any necessary repairs before proceeding.
- 3. Fitment Test: Before proceeding with any modifications or installation, conduct a test fit of the fiberglass parts on your vehicle. This ensures proper alignment and fitment. Make any necessary adjustments before proceeding.
- 4. Surface Preparation: Clean the mounting surfaces thoroughly. Remove any dirt, grease, or debris that may interfere with proper adhesion. Proper surface preparation is crucial for a secure fit against other body panels/parts.
- 5. Mounting: Carefully position the fiberglass parts on the vehicle, aligning them with precision. Use OEM mounting tabs, supports or fabricate your own to ensure proper fitment.
- 6. Final Inspection: After completing all the mounting tabs/bolts,, inspect the installed fiberglass parts for proper alignment. Ensure that all mounting areas are securely attached.
- 7. Finishing Touches: If necessary, finish the installation by sanding, painting, or sealing the fiberglass parts to match your vehicle's appearance.
Disclaimers:
- 1. Professional Installation Recommended: We strongly recommend having fiberglass automotive parts installed by a qualified professional with experience in fiberglass work and fabrication. Improper installation may result in subpar fitment, reduced safety, or damage to your vehicle.
- 2. Fitment and Modifications: Some fiberglass parts may require modifications or adjustments for proper fitment. Be prepared for potential modifications and consult with professionals if needed.
- 3. Painting and Finishing: If painting is required, follow industry-standard painting procedures and consider consulting an automotive paint specialist for best results.
- 4. Usage: We understand this product may also be used in extreme off road motorsports conditions other than normal street use. Ensure that all the part is securely fastened using a combination of OEM mounting location and/or custom fabricated mounting tags.
By proceeding with the installation of fiberglass automotive parts, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these instructions and disclaimers. Your safety and the proper use of these parts are your responsibility. If you have any doubts or concerns, please seek professional assistance or consult the manufacturer for guidance.
